[He holds the door open like a gracious host and gestures for the detective to enter. Considering how Belial usually acts, this is all pretty… different, to say the least.]
Come in, won’t you? I was just about to brew some coffee.
[Of course Belial knows exactly where the keys are, but he has no intentions of handing them over right away. That would spoil the fun. Not to mention it would cut their little visit far too short. So he heads off into the living space and starts searching through a couple drawers.]
So~ Get any other gifts as interesting as mine? Or did you land yourself on the naughty list this year?
[He pesters further before moving on to the fireplace mantle. It’s a silly place to leave keys, but who knows? Perhaps he was careless! The impatience has him pausing mid search, however, and Belial turns with his hands on his hips.]
Don’t we all? How lucky for you to have a fuzzy situation on your hands. Or wrists, technically.
[He laughs at his own dumb joke before walking off toward the sitting room.]
Ohh, I think we’re getting warmer now, detective~ Those naughty little keys are in here somewhere.
[And if David chooses to follow, he might hear the jingling of metal keys from somewhere in the room. The ceiling? The walls? Where on earth is that noise coming from?]

As for that question, he looks up and raises a brow. Of course he knows the answer, but he's going to continue playing the fool while the sound of those rattling keys continues on.]
[He trails off but continues to “search” through a bookshelf for those keys.
From behind David’s head, a shadow looms, and if the detective’s reflexes are quick enough, he’ll turn to find Belial’s pet snake dangling from the rafters, her head close and her tongue flicking out… while a tiny pair of keys hang around her neck.]
[He does have good reflexes, especially as on alert as he is right now and he turns as he catches sight of the shadow from the corner of his eye then lets out a cry of alarm, stumbling back even as he twists around and landing on his ass with a thump on the floor.]
[Startled from the sudden reaction, Lucy twitches back and hisses in warning. Belial meanwhile observes the entire interaction out of the corner of his eye and does his best to avoid laughing out loud when the detective hits the floor. Yikes.]
Oh, Lucy-chan, was that you sneaking around? You’ve gone and startled our guest.
[He crouched down beside David and peers up at the large snake like a proud parent.]
[David mutters, embarrassed but he'd been startled and he wasn't overly fond of snakes. He doesn't yet get up, catching his breath. His heart was beating a little too fast.]
