[David is observing of all his surroundings, ever mindful of being lured into a trap. That wasn't even a suspicion against Belial. That was just his usual mindset. Always needing to be alert of dangers. It didn't mean he always picked up on said dangers though.]

He's very picky about who knows where he lives.

[David answers about Tim, who didn't want anyone not human to be told his address. As if that kept him safe... The dangers were outside anyway.]

And even if we were to bring somebody over, I'd have to contact him first and it'd be all a big thing. So this is easier.

Sounds like he needs to loosen up too~

[Belial chuckles and without warning or concern he reaches behind to grab David’s wrist so he can tug him pats the foyer. Despite the dark walls and grotesque interior design, the home is neat and well put together. Perhaps not as inviting as other places, but, you know. It’s clearly his style.]

What d’you think the odds are he’ll join us sometime for a little rendezvous~?

[There's a mild, startled protest when he's grabbed but is seemed to not be an aggressive move so he allows it.]

I don't think so. I'm afraid he has some issues with anyone who's not human.

[And Belial is clearly and self-admittedly something else.]

[If he doesn't grab, then David will slouch and hang behind. Can't have that.]

Odd thing. He’s missing out, you know.

[He stops right beside the sunroom in the back and steps in so they can walk amongst the natural light and flourishing plants. It all seems to stand in stark contrast to the rest of the house... save for the couple of headless angel statues that stand nearby.]

[David shrugs.]

It's his choice. It shouldn't concern us.

[As in, it's not his business so he's not going to argue with Tim about it. David glances around, spots the statues.]

Maybe you have too good a time?

Won’t concern you, no. You are human, after all.

[Belial, on the other hand, will gladly look into it by nosing around where he shouldn’t. Anyway, releasing David’s hand, Belial moves to slide into a spot on one of the nearby couches and pats the empty seat beside him.]

I feel I'd be gambling at a rigged game.

[But he chuckles softly and goes to sit by Belial.]

What’s life without a little risk taking~?

[Once they’re seated together, he slips his sunglasses off then banishes them away with a wave of his hand. They disappear in a wisp of smoke to who-knows-where.]

So.

[With his elbow propped up on the backrest of the couch and cheek pressed to his hand, he turns to face David more directly.]

Why do you have a hard time finding partners?

[He looks away, sighs and rubs his face.]

I guess I'm not very open to just... jumping into sex.

More of a sensitive guy? Prefer to make connections first?

[He doesn’t sound judgmental, just genuinely curious.]

I've never been good that those.

The combination is why I haven't made many firm connections.

I don't like to rely on other people.

Sounds like trust issues.

[And yet he still comes out for coffee and a chat in someone else’s home.]

Or perhaps... self depreciation.

A bit of both.

[He admits. Belial wasn't a total stranger, even if he also didn't completely trust him.]

[He tilts his head.]

If you want to admire me all evening though, I won’t say no~

I don't think that will help with the quota.

[He chuckles.]

We can do... something ... sexual. Were you really expecting me to just rip off your clothing as soon as we got inside?

Let’s just say that isn’t an uncommon practice in this house.

[Belial chuckles as well.]
